Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative Summit, Trump told global leaders that Iran had suffered major losses during recent operations.
According to him, “159 ships are at the bottom of the sea in three days,” adding that the country now has “no navy” and “no air force.”
He also criticized media coverage of the situation, particularly targeting The New York Times, which he accused of misrepresenting events. Trump insisted that the reality on the ground reflects a decisive U.S. advantage.
Providing further details, he described a naval encounter in which a U.S. submarine reportedly sank an Iranian flagship vessel. He also claimed that several mine-laying ships were destroyed and that Iran’s missile and drone capabilities were significantly reduced.
Trump further stated that U.S. forces intercepted more than 100 incoming Iranian missiles, framing the operation as a demonstration of advanced military precision. He argued that the campaign had effectively weakened Iran’s strategic capacity.
