The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board will on Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26, commence the fourth phase of its education and orientation exercise for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The programme will hold at the Board’s permanent Hajj Transit Camp in Bassan Jiwa, near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
According to the Chief Information Officer of the board, Ahmad Saleh, the exercise will include the physical grouping of pilgrims in preparation for airlift, as well as practical sessions on Hajj and Umrah rites to be conducted by designated preachers.
Saleh, in a statement on Thursday, said the training forms part of early preparations aimed at ensuring a smooth and hitch-free pilgrimage exercise this year.
The Board also noted that its orientation programme is delivered in seven Nigerian languages across different classes, including English, Hausa, Yoruba, Fulfulde, Nupe, Gana-Gana and Egbira, to ensure wider understanding among participants.
