A Nigerian girl has sparked reactions online after sharing her 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result, saying that she had hoped for better grades.
The student, identified as Uzoma Jessica Mmesomma, served as the head girl of Saint Margaret Secondary School, Amuwo Agboju, Lagos, before completing her secondary education.
She took to Facebook to post a screenshot of her 2026 WAEC result shortly after it was released, opening up on how she felt after seeing her grades.

According to the result she shared online, Uzoma sat for nine subjects and passed all of them.
She recorded an A1 in Civic Education, B2 in Economics, Agriculture and Chemistry, and B3 in English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Computer Hardware and GSM Repair.
Despite passing all her subjects, the former head girl admitted that the result fell short of her expectations.
“I expected more”
Sharing her thoughts alongside the result, Uzoma said she had aimed for higher grades but remained hopeful about her future.
She wrote:
“Was aiming higher but God knows best. I expected more than this… But I hope this gets me into my desired university.”
