2026 World Cup: It will be top – Ronaldo speaks on facing Messi, Argentina

Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has said it would be “top” to face Lionel Messi and Argentina in the 2026 World Cup.

Ronaldo was speaking to the media after scoring twice in the 4-0 win over Uzbekistan on Tuesday.

The win takes them top of Group K with four points.

“Facing Leo Messi at the World Cup? The question doesn’t make a lot of sense… but ok. It would be top.”

“But my focus was on today. We won, I have been able to score, we keep going together. I am happy.”

If Portugal finish first in their group, they will meet Argentina in the World Cup quarter-finals.
