Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has predicted that Spain will get to the final of the 2026 World Cup.
Ronaldo was speaking after they lost 1-0 to La Roja in the Round of 16 at the tournament.
With the game heading to extra time, substitute Mikel Merino came off the bench to grab a later winner.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Ronaldo claimed Spain are among the best teams at the World Cup.
He said: “We played a good game, the performance was well done.
“We could have done better but Spain are among the best, they will get to the final or close.”
Spain will face Belgium in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
