The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the credentials and personal particulars of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following his nomination as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The documents, made available by the electoral body, contain details of Tinubu’s educational qualifications, employment history and other personal information submitted as part of his nomination.
According to the published form, the sections for Tinubu’s primary and secondary education contain placeholder entries, while his educational record lists a Bachelor of Science degree obtained in 1979. The documents also indicate that he worked with Mobil Nigeria between 1983 and 1992 before serving as Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.
INEC also released the credentials of other presidential candidates, including Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), whose records indicate that he attended St. Augustine’s Primary School, Christ the King College, and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1984.
The publication forms part of INEC’s process of making candidates’ personal particulars available for public scrutiny ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
