The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, including the cost of its expression of interest and nomination forms.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, noting that the schedule was endorsed by the National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Argungu.
According to the timetable, presidential aspirants are required to pay ₦100 million for both the expression of interest and nomination forms. Governorship aspirants will pay ₦50 million, while those seeking Senate seats are to pay ₦20 million. Aspirants for the House of Representatives will pay ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly candidates will pay ₦6 million.
The party also introduced concessions for female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities, who are expected to purchase only the expression of interest forms and will receive a 50 percent discount on nomination fees.
The APC noted that its internal electoral process officially commenced on April 20, 2026, with the issuance of notices of election to state chapters. The sale of nomination forms is scheduled to run from April 25 to May 2, while submission of completed forms will close on May 4.
Screening of aspirants for governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly positions will hold from May 6 to 8, while presidential aspirants will be screened on May 9. Screening results for all categories are expected to be published on May 11.
Appeals arising from the screening process will be heard between May 12 and 13.
Primary elections will begin with the presidential primary slated for May 15 and 16. This will be followed by the House of Representatives primaries on May 18, Senate on May 20, State House of Assembly on May 21, and governorship primaries on May 23.
The timetable also outlines an appeal process, with presidential primary appeals scheduled for May 18, while appeals for other categories will continue until May 25.
Morka reaffirmed the party’s commitment to conducting transparent and credible primaries, stressing that the schedule reflects the APC’s resolve to strengthen internal democracy and ensure fairness for all aspirants.
