It was a gathering of women stakeholders as Hon. Anthony Ikenna Okafor met with the Home Builders Women Supporters Group Association and the Virtuous Women of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.

Describing the meeting as a profound honour, Okafor said women remain the moral compass of the home and the bedrock of society. He commended them for their steadfast devotion, prayers and daily sacrifices in building peaceful homes and nurturing resilient families.

He urged them to continue standing strong as dependable partners and pillars of support to their husbands, noting that strong homes inevitably produce a progressive nation.

Okafor said he was particularly moved by their commitment to inclusion, especially their mission to empower women living with disabilities. In solidarity with the cause, he announced a modest contribution to support their empowerment initiatives to ensure women with special needs are given the tools to thrive.

At the meeting, Okafor also formally declared his intention to seek the nomination as the Labour Party, LP, candidate for the House of Representatives representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.
He said his agenda is anchored on purposeful representation, human capital development and leaving no one behind.
“Thank you, our great mothers, for the warm reception, the prayers, and your invaluable support. Together, with empathy and dedication, a new and better constituency is possible,” he said.
Hon. Okafor Anthony Ikenna is an aspirant for the Nnewi North/South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the Labour Party.
