Former Kano State governor and NNPP leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has expressed confidence that an alliance between himself and Labour Party’s Peter Obi can defeat President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking on the possibility of unseating the ruling APC, Kwankwaso dismissed suggestions that the opposition lacks the support needed to win, insisting that the political landscape is changing across the country.
According to him:
“Do you really think that you and Peter Obi can defeat Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima?”
Responding, Kwankwaso said:
“Go to the Hausa markets and Sabon Gari in Kano, and even to Ibadan. I’m not even talking about the South-East or the South-South.”
He added:
“I believe the 2027 election will produce many surprises.”
