The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old mother of four, Anulika Onyeanusia, over an alleged s+x¥al ab¥se case involving a minor in Onitsha.
The arrest followed the circulation of a disturbing video online which allegedly showed the suspect engaging in inappropriate acts involving a minor.
According to the police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, operatives arrested Onyeanusia on September 10, 2026, after acting on open-source intelligence concerning the viral video.
The suspect reportedly denied the allegation by claiming that the videos were generated using artificial intelligence.
During the operation, police said four children aged two, three, six and nine were rescued from the residence. Officers also recovered s+x toys and other items believed to be relevant to the investigation.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigators work to establish what happened and determine whether other individuals may have been involved.
Her husband is also being interrogated to establish whether he has any connection to the alleged offence.
The case has generated strong reactions online, with Nigerians expressing shock and calling for a thorough investigation.
