It was a day of joy for elderly men and women in Umuchu, Anambra State, as prominent businessman and philanthropist, Ogbuehi Nze Ikechukwu Umennabuike, distributed over 200 bags of rice to the aged across the community.

The gesture by Nze Ikechukwu Umennabuike, who holds the traditional titles of Nze Ezenwugo Na Umuchu and Igwe Ndi Ogbea and is popularly known as Ninja FC, took place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Umuchu Civic Centre, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Nze Umennabuike, who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ninja Agro Veterinary Services Limited and Ezenwugo Agrovet Nigeria, distributed over 200 bags of 25kg Royal Stallion Golden Standard Rice to elderly persons drawn from various kindreds, villages and the three major sections that make up Umuchu community.

The distribution, which witnessed a large turnout of beneficiaries, community leaders and youth groups, was aimed at supporting the aged and vulnerable in the community, especially at a time when many families are facing economic hardship.

Speaking at the event, the President General of Umuchu Improvement Union, Hon. Ifeanyi Emegwa, popularly known as Equity, commended Nze Umennabuike for his consistent commitment to the welfare of Umuchu people.

Emegwa emphasized the importance of giving back to the society, promoting love and touching lives through genuine acts of kindness.

According to him, true wealth is not measured by the amount of money in one’s bank account, but by the number of lives one is able to touch and empower.

“It is not about how much money you have, but how many lives you have touched and empowered with your resources,” the PG stated.

He described the gesture by Ogbuehi Nze Ezenwugo Na Umuchu as more than generosity, noting that it represents humanity in action and a call for other well-meaning sons and daughters of Umuchu to emulate such selfless service.

The President General prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon Igwe Ndi Ogbea and urged the beneficiaries to continue to pray for the donor and for the peace and progress of Umuchu community.

Beneficiaries, mostly elderly men and women, could not hide their joy as they received their bags of rice. Many offered prayers and showered encomiums on Igwe Ndi Ogbea for remembering the aged at a critical time.

Some of the elders described the donor as a man with a heart of gold, whose love for Umuchu has been evident through his various interventions in community development and youth empowerment.

Community sources told P.M.EXPRESS that Nze Ikechukwu Umennabuike, as the boss of Ninja Agro Veterinary Services Limited and Ezenwugo Agrovet Nigeria, has over the years combined successful entrepreneurship with philanthropy, including youth empowerment, sports sponsorship through Ninja FC and support for indigent families in Umuchu and beyond.

Wednesday’s rice distribution adds to his growing list of humanitarian projects in the community.

The event ended with prayers for the donor, with the community asking Almighty God to richly bless Nze Ikechukwu Umennabuike, replenish his resources and reward his kind heart abundantly.

Umuchu, one of the largest communities in Aguata LGA, is known for its strong communal spirit and culture of brotherly love, values which Wednesday’s outreach has further reinforced.
