“A Pastor Tried To Help Alex Ekubo But Was Blocked”- Victoria Inyama Makes Fresh Claims

Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding the illness and death of late actor Alex Ekubo, making fresh allegations about events that unfolded during his battle with cancer.

Her remarks followed a statement released by a member of the Ekubo family, David Ekubo, who recently spoke publicly about the circumstances surrounding the actor’s final days.

Reacting to the development, Victoria expressed sympathy for David, acknowledging the challenges he may have faced in deciding to speak out.

According to the actress, a prominent Nigerian pastor had reportedly shown interest in helping Alex during his illness by providing financial support for his medical care. However, she alleged that those around the actor consistently maintained that he was in good condition, preventing the intervention from taking place.

Victoria claimed that despite repeated attempts by the cleric to gain access and offer assistance, his efforts were allegedly blocked. She further stated that the pastor was only informed about Alex’s condition after his passing.

She stressed that the pastor’s intention was not to provide spiritual healing but to ensure Alex received the best medical treatment available, regardless of the cost or location.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote:

“@davidekubo I know how difficult it was for you to come here….I know how far you went for a dialogue……this may not be the best but that’s fine……..without mentioning names….one of the biggest/ Kindest Pastor in Nigeria tried to help but was always told by Her that Alex is Fine!……

“D Pastor [redacted] pushed to get access but was always blocked…..If that Pastor was allowed access, whatever it would cost in this world, we would have all rallied round Abroad……. The Pastor was Not even told when Alex was in hospital, he was only called when Alex died….bear in mind that the Pastor was not offering ‘miracle’ he is very Practical and was ready to foot any medical bill any where in the world…..any genuine mother would accept help to try anything and everything……that’s the part that hurts me……cancer has multiple treatment options these days but it’s all good. Nnam biko just remember Dède is very vulnerable now 😭.”

Her comments come in the wake of allegations made by Alex Ekubo’s family, who accused his stepmother of restricting access to the actor during his illness and only contacting relatives after his death.
