Again, suspected Boko Haram attack claims four lives in Adamawa

Another attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State has claimed four lives.

The attack, which occurred in Bitirhuya village, is one of several incidents reported in Hong LGA over the past month and in recent years.

The invaders allegedly arrived in the community on motorcycles and set fire to several houses during the attack.

The Chairman of Hong Local Government Council, Dr Aliyu Sa’ad Yerima, confirmed the incident.

Yerima, who visited the community and commiserated with the bereaved families, vowed to take aggressive steps to curtail security threats across the local government area.

He, however, warned residents against acts that could contribute to security challenges in the area.

“Any individuals found harbouring criminals, collaborating with insurgents, or sabotaging local peace would face the full wrath of the law,” he said.
