Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso has confirmed that Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson will be part of the club’s preparations for the 2026/27 season after returning from his loan spell at Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old is set to rejoin Chelsea’s first-team squad for the club’s pre-season tour of Asia, where he will have the opportunity to impress the new manager ahead of the new campaign.
Jackson spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich but will now return to Stamford Bridge under Alonso.

Alonso confirms striker’s return
Speaking during his first press conference as Chelsea manager, Alonso confirmed that Jackson remains in his plans.
“Nico Jackson is joining the tour in Asia and we are looking forward to him working with us.”
The statement ends speculation over the striker’s immediate future and suggests he will be given the chance to compete for a place in Chelsea’s attack during pre-season.
