The Anambra State Police Command has vowed to prevent any attempt to secure the release of a woman accused of s£xually ab¥sing her 7-year-old daughter and using the child to create adult content.
The command made its position known through its Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, while speaking about the case of the arrested woman.
According to Ikenga, the police had seen comments online suggesting that some people were contributing money to facilitate her release.
The police have maintained that the investigation into the case is ongoing and that any attempt to interfere with the process will not be tolerated.
“We saw comments that some people are contributing money to look for a way to secure the release of the Nigerian mother who s£xu@lly ab√sed her 7-year-old daughter and used her to create adult content. But we assure Nigerians that under our watch, we won’t allow it to happen.”
The police spokesperson’s statement comes amid intense public reaction to the case, with social media users demanding that the woman remain in custody and that other individuals allegedly connected to the production and distribution of the content should also be investigated.
Some users also called for the arrest of alleged clients, buyers and enablers who may have been involved.
The comments from Ikenga have now generated further reactions online.
