“Anyone Who Says Life Abroad Is Hard Is Just Lazy”- Europe-Based Nigerian Stirs Reactions

A Nigerian man living in Europe has stirred widespread reactions on social media after sharing his candid opinion about the realities of living overseas.

According to him, many of the negative stories people tell about life abroad are often exaggerated. He argued that success largely depends on an individual’s willingness to work hard and take advantage of available opportunities.

The Europe-based Nigerian claimed that anyone who says life abroad is more difficult than life in Nigeria may not be putting in enough effort. He maintained that Nigerians who have managed to survive under Nigeria’s challenging economic conditions are more than capable of thriving overseas.

In his words:

“Living Abroad Is Good. If Any Nigerian Here Tells You That Life Abroad Is Hard, They’re Just Lazy. Tell Them To Go Back To Nigeria And See Which One Is Easier. I Know Nigerians Who Come Here And, Instead Of Hustling, They Behave As Though They’ve Already Made It. As a Nigerian, If You Can Survive 10% In Nigeria, You Can Survive 100% Abroad. Here, You Work Less And Earn More. But In Nigeria, You Work Harder And Earn Less.”

His remarks have since generated mixed reactions online. While some social media users agreed with his perspective, saying that many countries abroad offer better wages, stronger social systems, and more opportunities for those willing to work, others argued that the realities of living overseas vary significantly depending on factors such as immigration status, the cost of living, employment opportunities, and personal circumstances.
