The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State has commenced the screening and sale of nomination and expression of interest forms to aspirants seeking seats in the State House of Assembly.
The exercise, which began at the party secretariat in Makurdi, marks the start of preparations for the APC primaries.
Speaking at the opening of the exercise, the state APC chairman, Benjamin Omale, urged aspirants to follow the party’s constitution and guidelines.
In a statement by the state publicity secretary, Benedict Yawe, the party assured aspirants of a transparent process and wished them success.
Earlier, the state organising secretary, James Ornguga, informed aspirants that payments must be made into the party’s national secretariat account, while all contestants are required to clear four years of party dues and other financial obligations at the state level.
