APC presidential primary: Tinubu polls 375,507 votes in Benue

President Bola Tinubu secured a landslide victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Benue State, polling 375,507 votes.

Governor Hyacinth Alia, who announced the outcome at the state collation centre in Makurdi on Saturday, disclosed that Tinubu defeated his only opponent, Stanley Osifo, who garnered 779 votes.

Alia stated that the president emerged victorious across all 23 local government areas of the state during the exercise.

According to him, the election was conducted in line with the laid-down guidelines and procedures governing the primary.

“I, Hyacinth Alia, State Collation Officer, hereby certify that the information contained in this form represents a true, correct and accurate record of the summary of results from the local governments in Benue, and I so sign it.

“So, by virtue of the votes cast, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged as the winner in Benue,” he said.
