APC to Inaugurate National Campaign Council for Ekiti Guber Poll Wednesday

The All Progressives Congress (APC) will on Wednesday inaugurate its National Campaign Council for the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election as part of efforts to commence mobilisation ahead of the poll.

The party said the inauguration ceremony will hold at the Kashim Shettima Hall of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, at 12 noon.

According to the APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Monday, June 8, the National Campaign Council is chaired by the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, while the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, will serve as co-chairman.

The Leader of the Senate, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, is the secretary of the council.

The party stated that the council comprises serving and former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly and other senior party leaders, with the responsibility of coordinating and driving its campaign activities ahead of the governorship election.

To ensure effective planning and coordination, the APC said it has constituted several subcommittees to oversee critical aspects of the campaign, including election planning and management, finance and resource mobilisation, grassroots engagement, logistics, protocol, media and publicity, security, women and youth mobilisation, as well as secretariat functions.

The party described the inauguration as a key step in its preparations for the election, noting that it would kick-start mobilisation efforts across Ekiti State with the aim of securing victory at the poll.
