Apply for Cross River State EV Tech Cohort 1 Training for Youths

The Cross River State Government has opened applications for the Electric Vehicle (EV) Tech Cohort 1 training programme for young people across the state.

The fully funded programme will train 100 youths in electric vehicle maintenance, repairs, and electric tricycle coupling. It is part of the state’s efforts to promote clean energy and build a skilled workforce for the growing e-mobility industry.

About the Training Programme

The initiative is designed to prepare young people for careers in the electric vehicle sector. Selected participants will receive practical training and gain skills needed for employment, entrepreneurship, and future opportunities within the state’s EV ecosystem.

The programme is fully sponsored by the Cross River State Government, meaning successful applicants will not pay any tuition fees.

What Participants Will Learn

The training will cover several areas of electric mobility, including:

  • Electric vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
  • High-voltage battery systems and electronic control units.
  • Electric tricycle coupling and assembly.
  • Preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and thermal management systems.
  • Business and entrepreneurship skills in e-mobility.

Participants will receive hands-on experience using EV components, diagnostic tools, and assembly equipment.

  • Must be available throughout the intensive practical training period.
