Apply for NSIA Prize for Innovation (NPI) 4.0 2026

Applications are now open for the 4th edition of the NSIA Prize for Innovation (NPI 4.0), an initiative of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) aimed at supporting innovative startups with the potential to drive meaningful social and economic impact.

About the Programme

The NSIA Prize for Innovation (NPI) is designed to empower entrepreneurs and changemakers whose innovative ideas can create lasting impact. The programme provides funding, mentorship, training, and strategic support to promising startups with growth potential.

Through this initiative, NSIA seeks to nurture innovation, strengthen key industries, and encourage solutions that address critical challenges in Nigeria and beyond.

For NPI 4.0, NSIA has partnered with Cascador, the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC), Wema Bank, and the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University. These partnerships provide participants with access to expertise, institutional networks, mentorship opportunities, and valuable business support.

Benefits

Participants will compete for a combined prize value of up to US$275,000, which includes:

  • US$220,000 NSIA Prize for Innovation
  • US$45,000 Cascador Prize for Impact
  • US$10,000 Wema Bank Enterprise Award

Successful startups will also receive a fully funded training programme at the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC).

Additionally, participants stand a chance to secure between US$500,000 and US$1.5 million from the Pula Xcelerator.

Selected startups will also receive a ticket to the National Finals of Hackaholics, where they can compete for over ₦100 million in equity-free grants.

Eligible Sectors

Applications are open only to startups operating in:

  • Healthcare
  • Manufacturing
  • Climate & Food Security

Application Deadline

The application portal opened on June 8, 2026 and will close on July 8, 2026.
