YouthHubAfrica has opened applications for young people interested in becoming Social Media Advocates under the Strengthening Systems and Communities to End Child Marriage (SSCE) project.
The initiative, supported by the Malala Fund, aims to build a community of young advocates who will use social media to raise awareness, share impact stories, and promote actions that help end child marriage. Selected advocates will work with existing influencers and engage young people within their online communities.
Benefits
Successful applicants will receive monthly stipends to support the creation of social media content, campaigns, and online conversations. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend SSCE events organized within their states.
In addition, advocates will receive training and gain valuable skills on effective social media engagement and issues related to ending child marriage.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old. They must reside in one of the focal states, namely Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Kaduna, Kano, or the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Interested candidates should be willing to support and promote SSCE activities within their states and must be available to participate in a three-day virtual training scheduled for July.
Applicants are also expected to have a verifiable and active presence on at least one social media platform, including Facebook, X, Instagram, or YouTube.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 30, 2026. Interested young people are encouraged to apply before the closing date.
