A video circulating online has captured a tense moment between Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola and influencer Enioluwa at a recent public event.
The incident reportedly happened at the Miss Fair & White Beauty Pageant, held at the Civic Center on Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, as part of a celebration marking 30 years of beauty and radiance.
In the clip, the 37-year-old actress is first seen exchanging warm greetings with colleagues including Ini Edo and Eniola Ajao. However, the mood shifted when Enioluwa approached her to say hello and referred to her simply as “Wumi.”
The actress did not appear pleased with the casual address and immediately reacted, questioning why he used her name without a title. The situation briefly became tense, with Enioluwa quickly attempting to calm her down and avoid escalation.
Speaking in Yoruba, Wumi Toriola expressed her displeasure, insisting on respect in how she is addressed.
In response, Enioluwa apologized and referred to her as “Aunty Wunmi,” adding humorously that her reaction had initially startled him. The exchange soon lightened up, with both parties smiling and the atmosphere easing.
During the conversation, Enioluwa also praised the actress for her academic achievements, while Wumi Toriola mentioned she is currently pursuing a law degree (LLB).
The moment ended on a lighter note, with Wumi playfully insisting he should prostrate in greeting, after which she prayed for him as they both shared smiles alongside other guests at the event.
