Mikel Arteta has pushed Arsenal to take ‘a different dimension’ this season following their Premier League title victory.
Last season, the Gunners ended their 22-year wait to be domestic champions, eventually reaching the pinnacle after coming second for three years in a row under Arteta.
Speaking after Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in May, Arteta urged the club to remain ambitious in the transfer market as they seek to move forward.
Arsenal are interested in submitting a stunning bid for Vinicius Junior, but that depends on the Brazilian declining to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid.
There is still interest in Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, while the Gunners are determined to bring in Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United.
That is the type of player Arteta hopes to attract to the club as he strives to keep Arsenal at the top of the standings.

“This has to be the start and this has to be the standard,” Arteta told the Arsenal website as cited by the Evening Standard.
“Excellence has to be our standard and this has to drive to attack the future. The way we behave daily with more and more determination and ambition because we’ve shown that we’ve got it.
The north London outfit are favourites to win the Premier League title again, and they will also look to make another deep run in the Champions League.
Arteta was asked about his team’s expectations for the next season ahead of their first pre-season game in front of fans this weekend against Girona in Spain.
“My ambition is that daily we nail the standards and the requirements on the day to be better the following day,” he replied.
“That is the thing that we have to control. And maintaining that ambition, that discipline, that commitment and that positive energy through 11 months. That is the responsibility that we all have.
“If we all achieve that, we are going to be in a really strong position in May.”
