“Barbers live better than civil servants” – Tunde Perry reacts to TVC backlash over Peller

Popular content creator and socialite, Tunde Perry, has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding Peller, sharing a bold opinion about civil servants and lifestyle differences.

His comment comes amid backlash against Peller from TVC News anchors, with many Nigerians criticising his remarks about luxury and affordability following his Maldives trip with his girlfriend, Jarvis.

Reacting to the controversy, he said:

“Civil servants cannot go to Maldives to enjoy themselves like Peller did, truly. People are just blaming him for saying the truth, even the TV stations that are blaming him too.”

He argued that the criticism directed at Peller may be misplaced, insisting that economic realities make such experiences out of reach for many government workers.

Tunde Perry further stirred reactions by comparing professions, claiming that some skilled workers now enjoy a better standard of living than civil servants.

“Barbers live a better life than civil servants,” he added.

His statement has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing mixed opinions.

One user wrote, “Some civil servants go vex for this one, but he didn’t lie.” Another added, “Nigeria hard for many people.”

The conversation continues to fuel debates around income inequality, lifestyle expectations, and the economic realities faced by different professions in Nigeria.
