The Amadabo of Moko-Ama in Sangana, Akassa Kingdom, Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, His Royal Highness Moses Theophilus Kenibara VII, has reportedly died at the age of 64.
Reports of his death began circulating on social media between October 8 and 9, 2026, with tributes describing the late monarch as a peacemaker and an advocate for unity and development in the Niger Delta.
Kenibara VII was reportedly crowned Amadabo of Moko-Ama in 2016. He also served as Chairman of the Akassa Clan Council of Chiefs, succeeding Chief Newton Igbani-Okuru, and Chairman of the Central Zone of the Ijaw National Congress (INC).
The monarch was also associated with efforts to promote peace, security and cooperation in the Akassa area. In August 2026, he reportedly commended the Nigerian Navy for its arrest of suspected criminals operating in the area.
