American actor and recording artiste Terrell Carter has opened up about a deeply painful and emotional chapter in his family history, revealing disturbing details about his birth and his mother’s early life.
Carter shared that his mother was just 11 years old when she became pregnant with him, also revealing that the man responsible was a 26-year-old relative.
“My mother was just 11 years old, when she gave birth to him” he said.
According to Carter, his family did not immediately realise the pregnancy, stating that it was only discovered when his mother was already around eight months long. He described the situation as a painful truth that has shaped parts of his personal journey and identity.
“She became pregnant by a 26 year old relative“, he added.

However, Carter explained that speaking about his background is not easy, but he felt it was important to be open about the trauma connected to his early life.
