A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions on social media after expressing frustration over her financial situation and asking men how they manage their expenses while still giving money to their girlfriends.
In a video making the rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter, the woman explained that her salary was barely enough to cover her basic needs, including house rent, electricity bills, food and cooking gas.
She also revealed that her siblings regularly approached her for financial assistance, adding to her financial burden. According to her, she could not even afford to make her hair because of her current situation.
Expressing her frustration, she said:
“Please, men, how do you do it? I want to pay my rent, light bill, and I have to stock up the house with food. I will also fill my gas. This is my loose hair; no money to make it. My siblings are also on my neck asking for money, and my salary is not even up to anything.”
The lady went on to question how men managed to meet their financial obligations while still providing money for their girlfriends and maintaining their appearance.
She admitted that the pressure of dealing with several bills had taken a toll on her happiness, claiming that she had not smiled in the past six months.
She added:
“Imagine, I am now a man, and I have a girlfriend too. Please, men, how do you do it? You people will give your girlfriends money and still look good. I just need one guy to explain it to me. I am tired. Billings want to kill me.”
Her outburst has drawn attention to the financial challenges many people face while trying to meet personal needs, support family members and fulfil relationship expectations with limited income.
