Nigerian actress Bolaji Ogunmola has publicly criticised the growing culture of film piracy in the country, calling on audiences to support the industry by avoiding illegal streaming platforms.
In a strongly worded statement shared on her official Xhandle, the actress expressed frustration over what she described as hypocrisy among viewers.
Ogunmola pointed out that while many advocate for better compensation and lifetime royalties for actors, the same individuals often consume content through pirated channels such as Moviebox and Telegram.

Ogunmola stressed that such practices undermine the hard work of filmmakers, actors, and production teams, ultimately affecting the sustainability of the Nigerian film industry. She urged fans and supporters to make conscious efforts to watch films through legitimate platforms that properly compensate creators.

However, Bolaji Ogunmola is one of the most talented movie actresses in the movie industry. She has appeared in various films and produced some of her own movies as well. She owns a YouTube channel where she shares some of her movies; however, most social media users are unaware of her projects except for those who are her core fans.
