In a recent interview, ADC chieftain, Chillie Igbawua, fired back at comments made by Vice President Kashim Shettima — and his response has left many Nigerians talking.
Shettima had earlier dismissed the ADC, describing the opposition party as weak and lacking structure. But Igbawua didn’t hold back. Speaking with confidence, he said the ruling camp clearly does not understand what is quietly building inside the ADC.
According to him, the party is not worried about the criticism. In fact, he said they are happy their opponents are in the dark.
“Sometimes, we are glad they don’t understand us,” he said. “They keep chasing shadows while we move ahead.”
His words come shortly after the major political move involving Kano strongman, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, whose decision to align with the ADC has stirred fresh hope among supporters of the party.
Igbawua hinted that bigger plans are already in motion — plans that may shock many Nigerians as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
He claimed that even when attempts are made to block the ADC, the party always finds a way to move forward quietly.
“And that is how it will continue until we take power in 2027,” he added.
This bold declaration has raised eyebrows, especially as political alliances begin to shift ahead of the next election cycle.
