Senegal has set a new African record at the World Cup.
This followed their defeat of Iraq by five unreplied goals, the first by any African team in the final of a World Cup match.
However, the Senegalese will have to wait until other group matches are concluded to known if they will scale through to the Round of 32.
The team was on the fifth position on the third place rankings, with Sweden, Ecuador, Bosnia and Paraguay ahead of them.
There are other teams below the Senegalese who stand good chances of overtaking them on the table by the end of the group stage matches.
