Soldiers under Operation HADIN KAI reportedly killed many Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters who were planning deadly attacks.
The gunfight was intense.
Sources say the troops, working with local vigilantes, stormed terrorist hideouts and stopped a major supply mission near Geidam. Food, phones, and other items meant for insurgents were seized.
In another daring move, soldiers ambushed terrorists trying to plant bombs along the Konduga–Kawuri road. The explosion killed some of the attackers instantly.
More success followed.
Several suspects, including informants and logistics suppliers, were arrested across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe.
The military says these operations have weakened terrorist networks and saved many innocent lives.
For many Nigerians, this is a rare moment of victory in the long fight against insecurity.
