Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has insisted that his club need to move beyond the data and win matches, adding that results are the most important statistics, news.ng reports.
Rosenior, during the pre-match press conference, noted that while working with data is important, the most critical aspect for a football coach is getting results — to win.
He said, “As a coach, you have to work to the data and the process. In this moment, we need to win.
“This is the fundamental, and what this club demands. The most important statistic is the result”.
Chelsea, since March 14, 2026, has lost four Premier League matches. The club now finds itself in a tight position in the race to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, as they are currently sixth on the table, sharing 48 points with Brentford.
On injury concerns for his three players — Enzo Fernández, Estevao Willian, and Joao Pedro — he said, “He [Joao Pedro] was out on the pitch today, and we will make a decision on him tomorrow morning. That’s a real positive for us because he will be back sooner rather than later
“Estevao is definitely out, which is a real shame, and we are doing further tests into the extent of his injury.
“Enzo is absolutely fine, he’s available. Elsewhere, we have no other new news to report. Everyone is okay, even though it’s a quick turnaround from Saturday’s game to tomorrow.”
Their next league encounter will be against Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, away at the American Express Stadium.
