Chelsea Transfer News: Six Players Who Could Leave Stamford Bridge This Summer

Chelsea could cash in on some fringe players while the summer transfer window is open

Chelsea are making waves in the summer transfer window. Marcos Palestra and Morgan Rogers have already completed their respective switches to Stamford Bridge. Maxence Lacroix will follow suit before long.

Pablo Chavarria and Valentin Barco are set to secure summer moves to west London. With a lack of European competition next season, however, the Blues need to trim the fat on a bloated squad. A number of fringe players will leave before the transfer window slams shut as Xabi Alonso assembles a team capable of returning to Europe.

Andrey Santos, Marc Cucurella, Tyrique George and Alejandro Garnacho have already departed the club. We look at those who could follow the quartet out of Chelsea this summer.

Nicolas Jackson

Many Chelsea fans are hoping Nicolas Jackson gets another chance at the club. The Senegal international moved to Bayern Munich on loan last summer having fallen out with then-head coach Enzo Maresca. The 25-year-old failed to nail down a starting spot under Vincent Kompany last season, however. To be expected when you’re playing second fiddle to Harry Kane.

Nevertheless, Jackson still managed eight goals and one assist across 1004 minutes of league action. There’s a player there. However, with Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Emmanuel Emegha all vying for a starting spot on the frontline, Chelsea stand to recoup a substantial chunk of the money spent this summer should they opt to sell Jackson.

Trevoh Chalobah

While he’s been a dependable defensive option when called upon in the past, Trevoh Chalobah has routinely circled the Stamford Bridge exit in years gone by. It’s only a matter of time before the England international leaves the Blues permanently.

Chalobah has plenty of suitors in England and abroad. However, a switch to Italy seems most likely. Inter Milan have been credited with an interest, but it’s fellow Serie A side Como that looks a possible destination. Given his style, he’d Cesc Fabregas’ demands for his defenders to build attacks from the back. Como, after all, ranked top for possession (61.59%) in Serie A last season.
Axel Disasi

Having been cast to the Chelsea ‘Bomb Squad’ under former boss Enzo Maresca, Axel Disasi secured a loan move to fellow London side West Ham in January. For all intents and purposes, Disasi performed well at the London Stadium.

Granted, he couldn’t keep the Hammers afloat as they succumbed to relegation on the final day of the season, but Disasi put his name back out there with a series of assured showings. With Maxence Lacroix making the move to Chelsea, Disasi could go the other way and take his compatriot’s place at Selhurst Park.

Marc Guiu

Marc Guiu endured a testing 2025/26 season. The 20-year-old moved to Chelsea from Barcelona back in 2024 and was ultimately loaned to fellow Premier League side Sunderland last summer.

However, the young striker spent less than a month at the Stadium of Light before he was recalled by Chelsea owing to injury to Liam Delap. With just domestic competition to focus on in the coming campaign, Guiu would be better served pushing to depart the club to aid his development.
Filip Jorgensen

Another brought to Chelsea by Enzo Maresca, Danish shotstopper Filip Jorgensen was expected to challenge Robert Sanchez for the starting spot between the sticks following his arrival from Villarreal.

Jorgensen, though, struggled for minutes on the back of his move to the capital. The 24-year-old has managed just 11 league appearances, and nine starts, in his two years at Chelsea. And following Mike Penders’ return after a loan spell at Strasbourg, Jorgensen is unlikely to challenge to be the Blues’ first-choice goalkeeper.

Malo Gusto

Manchester City are believed to be interested in Malo Gusto to ease their right-back concerns. It’s not to say Matheus Nunes has underwhelmed in the role, rather head coach Enzo Maresca may look to sign a specialist in the position.

And with Palestra already on the books, Chelsea would be wise to cut ties with the France international. Indeed, they’d stand to make a pretty penny on the 23-year-old, who has hardly set the world alight following his 2023 arrival from Lyon.
