PORT-AU-PRINCE – In a story published May. 11, 2026, about gang violence in Haiti, The Associated Press erroneously reported the percentage of Port-au-Prince overtaken by gangs since the assassination of President Jovenal Moïse in July 2021. The percentage reached 90% but has since dropped to 70%.
