Comrade Dauda Receives APC South-South Forum, Urges Unity & Cultural Preservation

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has urged the South-South community in Ikeja to preserve its culture, strengthen unity and pass its traditions to younger generations.

Comrade Dauda made the call when the APC South-South People’s United Forum, Ikeja, led by Hon. Austin Omoruyi, South South, Ikeja LGA. Coordinator and Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman, Ikeja LG on Special Duties paid him a courtesy visit.

He commended the group for its loyalty and support for the APC, but stressed that political activities should not overshadow cultural values.

“Election will come and go, but our culture will remain. Our tradition will remain. Our unity and diversity will remain.”

The South-South Coordinator in Ward D, Mr. Roland Agbogah, commended Comrade Dauda for the inclusion of South-South indigenes in his administration and assured him of the community’s continued support for the APC.

The visit featured prayers and traditional rites led by Chief Michael Bassey Ekpeyong, who prayed over kola nuts and other items presented to appreciate the Chairman.
