A media aide to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has publicly called on social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to apologise to Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye over recent comments he made about the respected cleric.

In a strongly worded statement shared online, Ossai warned that insulting the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God could carry what he described as spiritual consequences.

According to Ossai, VeryDarkMan was wrong to criticise Pastor Adeboye, insisting that the cleric remains focused on praying for the nation rather than aligning with any political camp.

He said he had called on the activist to apologise but had found him unwilling to do so, suggesting that VeryDarkMan may believe he is building a following by attacking spiritual figures and dragging respected clerics into controversy.

But stressed that there are boundaries that should not be crossed, likening disrespect toward the pastor to being rude to an iroko tree and expecting no consequences.

Ossai maintained that Pastor Adeboye had wronged no one, arguing that criticism of the cleric often surfaces whenever he fails to meet public expectations on political or national matters.

He described the pastor as a man of God who does not represent any individual or political interest but stands in the gap for the nation before God, adding that history shows the cleric has often faced unwarranted attacks.

He further claimed that those who disrespect what he called a true servant of God risk facing spiritual repercussions.

Expressing disappointment with the activist, Ossai called on VeryDarkMan to retract his comments and formally apologise to the pastor, saying he remained genuinely disappointed and hoped the activist would reconsider his position.
