DJ Chicken Begs For Forgiveness Over Controversial Remarks About Late Ogogo

Controversial content creator DJ Chicken has apologised publicly after coming under heavy criticism for his comments following the death of veteran Yoruba actor Ogogo.

The social media personality sparked outrage shortly after news of the actor’s passing emerged when he shared a video making disturbing remarks about the Yoruba movie industry.

In the video, DJ Chicken linked Ogogo’s death to what he described as wickedness within the Yoruba film industry. He also made comments suggesting that some other individuals in the industry could suffer a similar fate.

His remarks quickly drew backlash from social media users, many of whom accused him of being insensitive and disrespectful to the memory of the late actor, particularly at a time when fans and colleagues were mourning his death.

Amid the growing criticism, DJ Chicken returned to social media on August 25 to address the controversy and apologise for his earlier remarks.

Explaining his actions, the content creator claimed that he was intoxicated when he made the controversial statements and was not in the right state of mind at the time.

He expressed regret over his comments and sought forgiveness from those who were offended by his remarks.

His words…

“I want to apologize for my unsavory comment about the late Ogogo yesterday. I was intoxicated, and I did not know what I was doing. Please forgive me; I could not have done that in good conscience. Ogogo was a legend. I am so sorry for the things I said about Yoruba actors. I really commend your efforts over Ogogo’s health.”
