According to the trending Video and information made available to NewsBase Nigeria by sources familiar with the incident, the woman, a widow and mother of three, has reportedly been concerned about her daughter’s lifestyle and had repeatedly warned her against engaging in activities she considered inappropriate.

Sources alleged that the incident occurred at about 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, when the daughter, said to be a student of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIport), was preparing to leave the family home.
The mother reportedly confronted her daughter and demanded to know where she was going at that time of the evening. Witnesses claimed that the daughter refused to respond, leading to a verbal disagreement between the two.
According to the accounts received, the argument escalated into a physical altercation after the mother attempted to prevent her daughter from leaving the house. During the confrontation, the daughter allegedly fought with her mother.
Sources further claimed that, in the heat of the dispute, the mother tore the clothing her daughter was wearing, leaving her partially unclothed. watch video
