The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has unveiled the identity of a suspected impostor who allegedly posed as an officer of the anti-graft agency.
According to a video released by the Commission, the suspect, identified as Haruna Mamuda, is a dismissed military personnel who allegedly masqueraded as an EFCC operative.
The video also showed Mamuda alongside his driver, Salifu Olije Mustapha, during some of their alleged operations, where they were seen harassing unsuspecting youths while falsely claiming to be EFCC officials.
DAILY POST reports that the development comes just three days after the EFCC arraigned the driver, ,Mustapha before Justice A.I. Akobi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Kubwa, Abuja, for allegedly posing and parading himself as an officer of the Commission.
Mustapha was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on impersonation and misrepresentation.
