Her mother and father could barely hold back their tears as they mourned her tragic death, overwhelmed by immense grief and unable to speak.
The heartbroken parents were captured on video downtrodden at Thika Police Station, where they went to follow up on her case.
Ngina, a student at Thika Technical Training Institute, was found dead at her boyfriend’s house within Kiang’ombe Estate in Thika.

Her lifeless body had 32 stab wounds, several fingers were missing, and her head had also been severed.
What did Elizabeth Ngina’s boyfriend say?
Peter Mutunga, who spoke to the press on behalf of the family, noted that Ngina’s boyfriend, Dennis Mwangi, was arrested but claimed he did not know what had happened to the young woman.
“The boy told the police that he had been away and, upon returning to his house, found it locked. He said he went to get a spare key to access the bedsitter. He also claimed there was a basin he was trying to push under the bed, but something was blocking it. That is how he allegedly discovered Ngina’s body,” said Mutunga.
Mwangi is said to have reported the matter to the police, after which he was immediately taken into custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
The authorities have since been granted permission to detain him for 21 days as investigations into the student’s brutal death continue.

Another family member, Hannah Bahati, tearfully said that what happened to Ngina was beyond comprehension.
“How does someone cut off another person’s head just like that? We do not know where her head is, and all we wish is that it can be found so that we can get justice for her,” said Bahati.
Ngina’s mother wept throughout the ordeal, supported by family members and close friends. Her father, speechless and visibly devastated, stood beside his car as other men tried to comfort him.
