A man has raised an alarm over the alleged absence of an original result sheet at a polling location as the Enugu State local government election gets underway.
The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission, ENSIEC, scheduled the chairmanship and councillorship elections for Saturday, September 26, 2026, across the state’s 17 local government areas.
In a video shared online, the man claimed that the original result sheet was not available at the polling location even though the election had already commenced.
He said:
“Today being the Enugu State Local Government election, the original result sheet is not here, yet the election is already kicking off.”
The claim has raised concerns online, with some Nigerians questioning the handling of sensitive election materials and calling for transparency in the conduct of the polls.
The development comes amid heightened attention on the Enugu election, with the police announcing restrictions on human and vehicular movement across the state from 8am to 4pm on Saturday to support the exercise.
Election observers have also been deployed across the state to document the process and report any irregularities to the relevant authorities.
