Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has named Nicolas Jackson as the player Chelsea made a mistake selling.
Merson believes Jackson is the one player who truly got the best out of Cole Palmer.
Chelsea sent the Senegalese striker to Bayern Munich on loan last summer and signed Liam Delap, who has so far failed to succeed at Stamford Bridge.
However, in his column for Sportskeeda ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League tie with Liverpool on Saturday, Merson said, “I’ve said it from day one that Chelsea letting Nicolas Jackson leave was a mistake. He brought the best out of Palmer.
“Chelsea let him go to bring in Liam Delap, who hasn’t been good enough. There is no doubt that Chelsea needs a rebuild this summer.”
