Former Barcelona striker, Gary Lineker has predicted where Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool will finish in the Premier League table this season.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Lineker predicted that Arsenal will finish first and retain the Premier League title for the second consecutive season.
The former England international also predicted that Chelsea will finish second on the log.
According to him, Manchester City and Liverpool will finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League, while Manchester United will finish in fifth position.
“I think Arsenal will retain it [Premier League]. So I’m actually going to go Arsenal [to win it] by at least 10 points,” Lineker said.
“I think Chelsea might finish second [in the Premier League table].
“Manchester City are definitely in transition mode. I still see them making the Champions League [third], but I don’t envisage them being in the title race.
“I think Liverpool will just make Champions League football. I think Man United’s squad looks a tad light to compete on all fronts at present, so I think they are fourth or fifth with Liverpool,” he added.
