The All Progressives Congress (APC) camp is in full celebration mode following the re-election of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for a second term in office.
Among the first prominent voices to react was Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who showered praises on Oyebanji, describing his victory as a clear endorsement of his leadership and the performance of his administration.
In a statement following the governorship election, Uzodimma said the outcome reflected the trust, confidence, and appreciation Ekiti residents have for Oyebanji’s style of governance and the achievements recorded under his watch.
According to the Imo governor, the victory sends a strong message that Nigerians are becoming more willing to reward leaders who focus on delivering results and prioritizing good governance over political rhetoric.
Uzodimma noted that the election outcome is another indication that Nigeria’s democratic process is gradually maturing, with voters increasingly using their ballots to recognize performance and accountability.
“Our democracy is growing steadily, and leadership is being provided,” he stated, while emphasizing that citizens are becoming more conscious of the impact of governance on their daily lives.
The governor also used the opportunity to commend the leadership of the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the ruling party has remained focused despite criticisms and political distractions.
According to him, President Tinubu has continued to pursue reforms and development initiatives aimed at strengthening the nation and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
