Fintiri vows firm action against alleged same-sex activities in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has vowed to firmly respond against same-sex activities allegedly on the rise in Adamawa State.
The governor who made a remark on the matter during a visit to the northern Adamawa town of Mubi, said his administration will not condone such act.

He said the government was committed to upholding the laws, cultural values, and social norms of the state.

He added that he would continue to promote standards and values that reflect the beliefs and traditions of the people of Adamawa State even as he would address social issues through lawful measures.

He charged parents as well as religious and traditional leaders to double efforts at moral guidance and character development of young people.

Safeguarding societal values, Fintiri stressed, requires the collective participation of all segments of society.
