Florida man crashes car through airport gate, tries to enter planes in Daytona Beach

A Florida man is facing multiple criminal charges after authorities say he drove his car through a security gate at Daytona Beach International Airport and tried to break into several aircraft while under the influence of alcohol and drugs.According to police, the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon when 58-year-old Bryan Parker crashed his vehicle through a restricted access gate at the airport in Daytona Beach, Florida. After entering the secured area, Parker drove onto the airfield, where private and charter planes were parked.Investigators say Parker got out of his vehicle and attempted to enter three different aircraft. He managed to get inside one of the planes, which was not carrying passengers at the time. An airport technician who was nearby saw what was happening and pulled him out of the aircraft before anyone was harmed.Authorities said Parker then ran toward another plane and tried to get inside again, but he was stopped by airport personnel and law enforcement officers who quickly responded to the scene.Police reports state that Parker appeared to be heavily intoxicated.
