Nigerian singer Skales has ignited widespread conversation after claiming that footballers earn significantly more than musicians, backing his statement with a surprising personal experience.
The Afrobeats star, known for his hit songs and vibrant career, argued that the financial structure in football offers more consistency compared to the music industry, which he described as largely seasonal.

“Football money is greater than music money. You don’t even need to be a starter to bag serious cash. Music money is seasonal,” Skales said.
He further revealed that he was recently approached by a company regarding a luxury jewellery endorsement initially intended for rising football sensation Lamine Yamal. According to Skales, the brand had a $300,000 jewellery piece they wanted Yamal to wear, but also expressed willingness to offer him the same opportunity.

“A company mailed me about a $300,000 jewellery piece they wanted Lamine Yamal to wear, and said they’d happily let me have it if I was interested,” he disclosed.
