Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has publicly shown her support for her friend and junior colleague, Kamo State, days after fans criticised her for not attending the premiere of his latest movie.
Kamo State, whose real name is Akinyoola Ayoola, recently held a cinema premiere for his new project. However, Funke Akindele was noticeably absent from the event and did not initially promote the movie on her social media platforms.
Her absence caught the attention of fans, with some questioning why the actress did not attend the premiere or use her large online following to support the comedian and actor’s project.
Following the reactions, Akindele appeared to address the situation on Friday, September 26, 2026. She took to her Instagram page to share the trailer for Kamo State’s movie.
The actress urged her followers to visit the cinema to watch the film, describing it as a good movie while also wishing her colleague success at the box office.
Her public show of support has since attracted attention from fans, coming shortly after she was criticised over her absence from the movie premiere.
