Gilze-Rjien Airbase has been evacuated in the Netherlands as a “suspicious incident” is investigated. Emergency services, including the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee rushed to the scene and are currently conducting an investigation.
At 4.15pm CEST (3.15pm BST) the Defence Explosives Ordnance Disposal arrived at the scene. Security personnel wearing bulletproof vests have also been spotted.
